China City Super Buffet in Surprise

Went there for dinner, haven't been in awhile. There might of been 5 tables now this is 6 on a Friday night. Everything was half full and not even hot. Between the 2 of us we didn't even a plate of food. Went to register explained our dissatisfaction with the quality of food. Acted like they didn't understand, but begin talking in their language. Again explained the complaint and again pretend not to understand. Handed me a ticket for $26 and said how u pay? I paid cause I didn't want the police called. But we won't be back and will post on facebook and tell everyone we know. They got 1 star only because I can't post without. Imagine that

When we got there, all of the food was old or empty. There sushi wasnt prepared. I fely like i was eating yesterdays left overs!So instead I drank Saki (2for$5)Other than that I will never come here again!

The owners here are very nice and so gracious that you came in. They really have a variety here for everyone. Coming from,the east coast there is no Chinese Resturant to match what were use to. Bit this food is good. The best hot and sour soup. This food has flavor not bland like other places.

As always, the food was great, resturant clean and hostess was very nice!! We love the place. Highly recommended!!!

The food is mediocre. Staff are constantly yelling and they allow their children to work here with no uniforms only street clothes. Doesn't look professional. We brought my teen nephew here after a long day of yard work. He really wanted sushi but staff gave him the evil eye and made him feel uncomfortable about filling his plate. I took my 2yo to the restroom. Light bulbs were burnt out and the toilets were leaking and there was a puddle on the floor.

I've not been impressed with their food, and have seen cockroaches in the building. I actively warn others against this place. I hope the health Dept shuts it down.

Friendly fast service. Great selection of foods that were good tasting and freshly made. Would recommend to family and friends.

To is a great place to eat you get to Serve Yourself

Enormous amounts of Asian food. Sushi is fabulous, all you can eat, fresh and handcrafted while you wait. Bar-B-Que, salads, and deserts are appearing and plenty of seating. Frequent newspaper discounts and fast service.

Great food love it and great price

This place has been closed down permanently, apparently by the Maricopa County Health Department according to the notice posted on the entrance. I’m not surprised though, it was not very good food. Also, I got really sick from one of the food items the last and only time I ate there.

My family and I came here to eat at 6 p.m. The food tasted like it was 2 days old. We are going to have to go eat somewhere else because of how bad the food was. Service was good and the people are friendly but a restaurants food is the main reason to eat there.

Even the water tasted off and when we mentioned it the server says "It's fine to me and I drink it". Ok then, guess that means I'm wrong. Only decent food was fried rice, sautéed mushrooms and green beans. Everything else was not good. Will not be returning.

Ive never been disappointed. When I go there to eat, there is plenty of variety, and good service. Watchful servers are quick to remove an empty plate from your table, and bring you more to drink when your cup starts getting low. I like going there to eat. After in done, I love to finish the meal with some very delicious tapioca pudding! Theirs is the Best!

Good place to eat at a reasonable price..

Only thing good in there is the crab sushi. Food was old when we got in there not fresh, waitress had to be told by I'm guessing the cook to refill our drinks. Prise for the food was good though. Can't beat $56 for 6 people. I take that back the habachi part was real good. 2 star for habachi and 1 for the prise. I'd make it 5 star if the waitress actually did her job and tended to her guests and fresher food. I personally will not be going back, there's way too many other Chinese restaurants out here with much better service

Amazing food and great service. There's a bit of a language barrier due to the servers not having English as their first language but it doesn't take away from the place whatsoever. I'm proud to call this my new favorite restaurant!

Customer service could be better here never got a refill on my tea but the food is okay it was just a little bit on the cold side

Americans might love this place mored than the average Asian. To be honest, the food was not good and I wouldn't visit again unless my American friend forced me to eat there... out of politeness... I would go.

Great food for great price and not to busy or crowded.

Restaraunt was clean and staff was friendly, although the service was minimal. However, the food was barely edible. Most of the selections were grease-laden. Much of it was overcook and had obviously been hanging around the buffet for quite some time.

I gave a single star because I had to in order to leave a comment. This place was awful. The food at dinner appeared to be out since lunch. Everything was dried out. China buffets are inherently questionable which makes them good. This was well passed that

It's been a while since we have been there, and I just want Happy with the food. Atmosphere and service was good, just not my favorite place.

WELL I JUST ATE AT THE CHINA CITY SUPER BUFFET...I DON'T NO WHY PEOPLE BAD MOUTH THIS PLACE...GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICE AND VERY CLEAN... SO MUCH TO EAT AND EVEYTHING I ATE WAS GREAT...I WILL MAKE THIS ONE OF MY REG STOPS TO EAT...DON'T GO BY THOSE BAD REVIEWS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF LIKE I DID...THANX...

Don't really want to hurt their business, however the problem with Chinese buffets is that it doesn't seem to be any particular food that stands out as a really great. I wouldn't go back, but my sister loved it and said she would definitely go back! So, to each their own! I worked at 5 Chinese restaurants, and I guess I just like the hot fresh food too much.

Poor quality, raw onions in food. Bad taste, and servers didn't care

This is by far the best buffet in town! Service is excellent and the food is always fresh out of the kitchen!

What do you expect? It's a buffet, something's are going to be good and some aren't. For the price it's not bad, you'll just have to pick out what you enjoy. It's not the best but certainly not the worst.

I like that there is a large assortment of food. A wonderful sushi bar. Food always hot. Waitstaff always has smiles. Clean as always. Wonderful place.

I would not recommend this restaurant! The service was horrible and the lady was rude! If I could give it a zero I would. This was our first time here. The food looked and tasted as if it had been sitting there for hours. They also did not bring out fresh food until I asked. Our plates were not picked up our drinks were not refilled our server was not attending to us. I had to constantly ask for our server. When they did check on us it took almost 30 mins for a refill of water, in which I had to track down a server for my water.. And it was not busy at all jus a few people. What really bothered me was how the staff/kids were treated. (A young girl and young boy and a mom and dad I assume) my daughter ordered a sprite and it tasted funny I asked for a diffrent one and when the young lady took it back the woman began to yell very loudly at her. When she brought the soda back. I felt soooooo sorry for the way she was treated. I will not be coming back to place.

0 stars* ... Food was DISGUSTING. The lady had the nerve to tell us we wasted food and that there are homeless people out there. Not my fault the food is gross. My husband only had half of a plate , I tried the fruit out too and even the jello was hard, canteloupe had no flavor , meat was soggy and greasy. the only thing we liked was the banana pudding and ice cream . Go to a different buffet the one on Bell and Litchfield is way better. People are in uniforms too, unlike this place where they are wearing street clothes looking homeless themselves.

Really good, fresh food..fast & reasonable....( senior discounts given!)... Which makes it excellent of those of us on a budget! ... Highly recommend. ..

Nice chinese buffet. More options, including Mongolian grill and sushi, than the other three where I have eaten. Crayfish and duck are offered on the lunch buffet.

OMG! This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The entire time we were there we felt we were going to get food poisoning. The only thing I actually ended up eating was an egg roll - everything else I put on my plate ended up being tossed. I seriously (no exaggeration) think they keep serving the same food over and over until it's all gone. It was so very, very bad. The health department needs to take a good look at this place. It really needs to be closed.

Bland food, buffet low stocked after 6 pm, very basic place. Mediocre Food could be much better.

Not bad. I didn't get to try everything I wanted to and would like to go back and try their sushi but the fresh wok was awesome and my stir fry was amazing!

We just got there today 5-18-17 for lunch. There were 3 adults and a 5yr old. We are seated at the 2nd table I believe and I noticed my chair wobbled and told the girl that and she just smiled. The first plate was fine and the chair shook a little. I went and got up for a 2nd plate and when I went to sit down the chair let go falling backwards hurting my lower back, sides and butt and I have a right prosthetic leg. I'm hurt. My butt and lower back are between the legs of the chair upside down on the floor. No one helps me up but the girl comes over sees the chair and it's cracked and removes it and replaces it with another. By that time I'm pissed and hurt because no one came to see how I was or say I'm sorry. And they didn't even give a discount. Never again will we go to that death trap

Very good Chinese food. It's very quiet which makes it even better.

Dry, hard, stale, and cold food and severely under staffed. Definitely not ever going back. Not much tasted good, even if I was willing to overlook the fact that it all must have been sitting there all day. And the dim sum had more gristle in it than meat. It's gross here.

Very friendly and helpful. Good food, too.
